^Lot 1015 Browning Auto-5 12 Ga #198621

Made in Belgium by FN. Classic Auto 5 designed by John Moses Browning. It is a standard weight semi-auto shotgun chambered for 2 3/4" 12 gauge shells. Pre-war manufactured 1937. St. Louis barrel address on receiver. 27 1/2" barrel with a raised steel bead front sight, magazine cut off, metal trigger guard, smooth trigger and manual safety in front of the trigger. It has two piece wood stocks with checkering at the wrist and forearm and grasping grooves above the checkering on the forearm "Prince of Wales style grip. It has a vented Pachmyer recoil pad with black & white spacers. Belgium proofs, floral scroll engraving on receiver and triggerguard. Blued metal finish is about 90% with minor scratches/edge wear. Bore is excellent/bright, buttstock is good/sound with minor scratches/dings, the forearm has a hair line crack on both sides from the rear running about 3/4 of the way forward. LOP is 15 1/4". Choke measures 'Full'.
